If so, Nevada Gold Mines has an exciting opportunity for you! We seek a highly motivated and experienced Bulk Commodity Manager to join our growing team. In this critical role, you will be pivotal in developing and executing strategic sourcing plans and managing suppliers for all Nevada Gold Mines sites.
Responsibilities: Manage the bulk sourcing and procurement team, ensuring effective execution of service and material contracts and purchasing for related categories. Lead the team in identifying and capturing new regional spend areas where the Supply Chain can add value and drive cost savings, particularly in bulk inventory, consumption, forecasting, and procurement. Oversee supplier relationship management, including tracking supplier performance metrics, safety history, and customer satisfaction. Develop the skills and abilities of your team through performance measurement, feedback, and career guidance. Meet all bulk inventory sourcing and procurement targets, metrics, and key regional performance indicators. Implement policies supporting local companies in coordination with Community Relations and ensure alignment with the Social Responsibility strategy. Rationalize and optimize the supplier selection process to enhance the Bulk Inventory supply base, maintain strong supplier relationships, and continually improve supplier performance. Review key agreements and contracts to protect and advance Nevada Gold Mines' interests. Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Minimum of eight (8) years of directly related procurement experience or equivalent combination of training and experience. Five (5) to seven (7) years of management experience, leading teams and having direct reports. Strong analytical skills and experience with procurement analysis, including market index price comparisons, should-cost analysis, total cost of ownership, and bid analysis. Mining experience is preferred. Strong computer skills using office software such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Projects, and Visio. Knowledge of enterprise-level software packages is necessary. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively across Nevada Gold Mines's regional supply chain organization and operational areas. Willingness to work closely with Site Process managers to develop demand planning forecasts and schedules. Ability to travel to and assist other domestic and international sites as needed.
