Budget and Vendor Analyst Location Hybrid work in Cumberland, RI : Bring your heart to CVS Health. This position will be reporting to the Budget and Vendor Manager for compliance and will be directly supporting the Enterprise Security Department.
Areas of responsibility: Review invoices for rate discrepancies and the appropriate documentation prior to payment
Assist in streamlining and improving the accounts payable process.
Assist in monthly closings by submitting accruals on a timely manner to our Finance partners for review and processing.
Partner directly with the finance team on metrics, goals, and business reviews.
Submit business requests (contract, purchase orders, vendor creations etc.) for new engagements.
Submit requests for check voids and payment vouchers cancellations as needed.
Code and deposit reimbursement checks received from vendors.
Dive deeply into financial data and become a subject matter expert to provide additional insights to variances and cost saving opportunities.
Create presentations that provide insightful analysis, identify required action items, and effectively frame decisions to be made.
Identify and research variances to forecast, budget, and prior-year expenses, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement.
Perform general office duties such as filing and handling routine correspondence from entities seeking payment.
Qualifications: 1+ year of professional work experience, preferably in a high-volume data entry or customer service office setting
Preferred Qualifications: Ability to work in a high paced team environment
Demonstrated the ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Proactive approach to problem solving and proven ability to prioritize competing demands from within the enterprise
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including but not limited to Excel and Outlook. Possessing the ability to open, save, name, move, sort, enter, and manipulate data in Excel, as well as the ability to use basic functions
Ability to communicate verbally clearly, accurately, and professionally and via email with vendors, management and establish effective working relationships
Ideal candidate will possess a sense of urgency with a proven ability to respond to and resolve issues in a timely and efficient manner
Experience with SAP, ARIBA, Lawson and JD Edwards
Previous A/P experience and an understanding of cash flow
Education: High School Diploma or GED is required. Bachelors degree in finance, accounting or business is preferred.
Pay Range The typical pay range for this role is:
$40,600.00 - $89,300.00 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
