Responsibilities
• Receive and record insurance payments for services rendered• Ensure services rendered are billed appropriately• Perform collection activities and adjust delinquent accounts• Assist in grant, financial, and productivity reporting and analysis
Requirements
• High School Diploma or equivalency• 2 years of experience in primary health care, oral health or behavioral health setting• Knowledge of insurance plans and managed care plans• Coding certificate or training preferred• Knowledge of medical and/or dental terminology• Familiarity with practice management and electronic health records systems• Understanding of billing rules, practices, and guidelines• Strong mathematical and analytical skills• Strong attention to detail• Strong verbal and written communication skills
