Summary Cadence Cyclery is seeking a passionate and experienced  Bicycle Service Manager to lead our service department. In this role, you will play a key role in ensuring exceptional customer service, overseeing repairs, and maintaining a smooth workflow in our fast-paced environment. Duties Responsibilities: Manage a team of bicycle mechanics, including assigning tasks, providing training, and ensuring adherence to quality standards. Diagnose and estimate repairs for all types of bicycles, effectively communicating with customers about service needs and costs. Prioritize repair orders and ensure timely completion within budget constraints. Order parts and maintain inventory levels to keep the service department operational. Stay up-to-date on the latest bicycle technology and repair techniques. Implement and enforce safety protocols within the service department. Provide excellent customer service, building trust and rapport with customers. Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient service area. Assist with sales and product recommendations when needed. Requirements Qualifications: Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a bicycle mechanic, preferably in a retail setting. Proven ability to diagnose and repair all types of bicycles. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and coach a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively. Proficient in bicycle repair software (e.g., Workshop Software) a plus. Passion for cycling and a strong understanding of bicycle technology.
