Pay-rate: $19.27 - $21.97 (based upon experience)
Shift: Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm (52 week year round position)
Everyday as a Behavior Support Specialist you will: Provide behavior management support to individuals in a school setting. Carry out specific interventions that are developed by the Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Transfer skills to individuals' natural support in the least restrictive environment. Assist the Educational Administrator by deploying direct care staff strategically throughout the facility. Support teachers in managing student behaviors Serve as an exemplar to direct care staff and ensures efficient communication between the school, residential program, and/or school district representatives. Ability to increase your knowledge and improve your skills related to behavior intervention, functional assessment and collaboration with a team that is inclusive and individualized BENEFIT ELIGIBILITY AFTER 30 DAYS OF EMPLOYMENT (1st day of the 30 days) Devereux Pennsylvania Children's Services (DPACS) center serves children, adolescents and young adults with autism spectrum disorders, intellectual and developmental disabilities, behavioral, emotional and psychiatric challenges and disorders. Located in West Chester and Malvern Pennsylvania, services provided include psychiatric residential treatment (PRTF), acute inpatient psychiatric hospital (AIP), assessment services, community-based mental health services, community-based employment training and social skills training, and approved private school educational services to male and female children and adolescents (6-21 years of age) with diagnoses of intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, concomitant psychiatric and behavioral challenges often associated with experiencing some level of trauma in their lives.

EDUCATION: Registered Behavior Technician certification or RBT eligible; required. Bachelor's degree in a human service field preferred.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of at least one year previous experience working in a special education or behavioral healthcare setting.
