Since 2007, Luella's Bar-B-Que has been committed to providing genuine hospitality and great food in an energetic, casual and friendly environment. We strive to build a crew of caring people who possess self-discipline and enjoy working in the restaurant profession. We operate North Asheville and South Asheville locations and a catering department. We are locally and independently owned, food quality driven, and well known for our fun and eclectic work environments and guest dining experience. We are looking for qualified candidates like yourself to help us continue to grow and add new stores in the Asheville area! SUMMARY The Back of House Super is a leader in the restaurant responsible for maintaining the written standards of the company and ultimately delivering our cultural, financial and qualitative measurements of success. To achieve this, the BOH Super must be an expert at balancing the needs of the guests, employees, the community partners and the ownership.
Supervises shifts with a focus on consistent quality and memorable guest experience
As a leader, can work any position that he/she is supervising, and leads by example
Knows our menu inside and out and is passionate about cooking NC style BBQ
Adhere's to recipes to provide craveable food consistently to every guest, every day
Makes sure that all of our guests Taste the Love!
Enjoys working in a Team environment
An advocate for the Asheville community and lifestyle
Naturally uses the experience in this position to develop leadership and management skills
Above all, has a ton of fun!
REQUIREMENTS The ideal candidate will possess at least 90% of the following:
Integrity, honesty, accountability, a passion for excellence and an incapability of making excuses for anything less than excellence
Minimum two years experience of successful, high-volume restaurant experience
Excellent oral and written writing skills
Adequate computer skills and more importantly, the ability to learn a new computer application quickly and follow the standards associated with it
Above average knowledge of wine, food, spirits and other finer things in life
A natural surplus of hospitality extended to guests, employees and vendors no matter the circumstances
Involvement in the community
An unusually attentive focus on details and a compulsive desire to make even the smallest details perfect
Above all, a desire to be the best

KEY JOB REQUIREMENTS
As a leader, displays at all times a professional and positive attitude
Maintains personal appearance in an exemplary fashion
Has technical expertise in the various areas of restaurant operations. Knows the standards and procedures associated with each of these areas and can teach them to new team members
Completes shift checklists with 100% thoroughness
Has skills sets of leadership including recruiting, hiring, training, and coaching
Maintains cleanliness and sanitation in an exemplary fashion
The BOH Super must set the example for professional behavior, on and off the job
Maintains a culture of constant ongoing training and continuous improvement with no excuses
PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, talk, and hear. The employee is required to be on their feet for a large portion of the day/shift. The employee is required to stoop, kneel, or crouch; reach with hands and arms; use hands to finger, handle or feel tools or controls; must be able to lift and /or move heavy objects including tables and cases of food and beverage; must be able to lift approximately 20 pounds overhead
Must be able to sustain constant mental and visual attention
WORKING CONDITIONS
Kitchen environment, including hot areas, hot tools, hot plates, sharp knives and tools
Outdoor off-site catering venues
Office environment
Flexible schedule can vary from week to week; work required on weekends and holidays
