Responsibilities
• Fabricate, modify, install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain ground, airborne, and electronic equipment• Perform routine disassembly, repair, assembly, testing, and maintenance of electrical systems• Operate UAV, ground control stations, and ground support equipment• Construct individual components of electronic equipment• Correct discrepancies in aircraft electrical systems• Perform functional checks and diagnose and repair defective parts• Perform inspections and document findings• Fabricate, upgrade, route, and install wiring harnesses• Disassemble, assemble, and adjust electronic equipment• Provide guidance or training to less experienced staff
Requirements
• Two-year technical degree or trade school equivalency• Five or more years experience in aviation or electronics• Knowledge of avionics and electronic procedures• Ability to troubleshoot at the component level• Knowledge of electronic test equipment, hand and soldering tools• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical orders• Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills• Ability to work independently and in a team environment• Ability to work extended hours and travel as required• Ability to obtain and maintain DoD security clearance
