Responsibilities
• Responsible for all aspects of industrial control subsystems for SHAPE products• Collaborate with stakeholders to define strategic direction and prioritize controls design enhancements• Lead controls based product development projects and manage through New Product Development processes• Prepare controls design and architecture approach for custom engineered business proposal efforts• Work with Designers to generate electrical drawing packages using Solidworks Electrical ECAD design software
Requirements
• Demonstrated track record in selecting and developing optimized controls hardware/software• Strong understanding of how engineering efforts impact the overall business• Practical design and implementation experience in motion control and industrial control system design• Experience with various software design processes and version control tools• Strong oral and written communication skills• BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, Physics or Mathematics with minimum of 5 years relevant work experience

• Motion control design and configuration• Industrial control system design• Schematic design• PLC Programming• DeltaTau PMAC or Power PMAC• Omron Sysmac Studio• Siemens TIA Portal• IEC 61131-3 c, c++ programming experience• Modern digital control and real-time network protocols (EtherCAT, Profinet, Ethernet IP, Ethernet Powerlink, Sercos III etc.)• Experience with standard software design processes and version control tools
