Overview The Asterisk Developer plays a crucial role in our organization by developing implementing and customizing telephony solutions using the Asterisk platform. They are responsible for ensuring the seamless integration of telephony systems with various applications and networks to meet the communication needs of the organization.
Key Responsibilities Design develop and maintain Asteriskbased telephony solutions and applications. Managing maintaining and configuring the existing Asterisk IPPBX and integrating it with various other forms. Integrate Asterisk with VoIP and PSTN technologies to facilitate effective communication. Customize and enhance existing telephony systems to meet specific business requirements. Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to gather requirements and implement telephony solutions. Profile Expertise in working with telephony protocols like SIP SDP RTP and Web RTC Ability to integrate MySQL and other databases with IPPBX for reports. Prior Exposure to CTI IVR any Agent Desktop Application Conduct testing and troubleshooting of Asterisk configurations and applications. Optimize system performance and ensure high availability of telephony infrastructure. Develop scripts and applications to automate telephony processes and tasks. Perform system monitoring maintenance and upgrades to ensure stability and security. Provide technical support and assistance to end users and internal teams for telephonyrelated issues. Document system configurations processes and procedures for telephony solutions. Stay updated with industry trends and best practices for telephony and VoIP technologies. Contribute to the continuous improvement of telephony systems and processes. Participate in the evaluation and selection of telephonyrelated hardware and software. Collaborate with vendors and service providers for telephony system deployments and integrations. Required Qualifications Bachelors degree in Computer Science Telecommunications or related field. Proven experience in developing and customizing telephony solutions using the Asterisk platform worked in UC or CC projects integrating Asterisk/Free Switch IPPBX with web applications. Proficiency in VoIP protocols SIP and telephony integrations. Handson experience in Linux with very good exposure to Linux administration PHP MySQL C# and web maintenance. Experience in designing solutions and programming with AGI AMI and ARI interfaces for more than 2 projects involving such interfaces with external applications. Familiarity with telephony hardware including PBX systems and SIP devices. Ability to diagnose and resolve telephony system issues and performance bottlenecks. Understanding of network protocols TCP/IP and QoS for telephony communications. Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail in telephony system configurations.
