The candidate for this position will perform the following specific duties:
Perform preliminary/original design and analysis; Perform highly complex analysis, test, design and/or development; Plan strategies for analysis, test and design used for task planning and execution; Document and present results of analysis, test and design; Analyze and review test data; Lead in the development of reports and design notes; Interact with internal and external customers; Assist the customer in defining system requirements and in the generation of specifications for products or sub systems; Provide technical guidance and direction to engineering team in the design, test, production and maintenance phases of a project.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering and 0 - 2 years of related experience is required.
Individual must be able to work in a dynamic environment and respond to changes in direction and priorities. Individual must be organized and able to maintain configuration control over several different items concurrently. Team work and collaboration across various engineering disciplines is essential. Ability to clearly communicate technical details, task status, and to drive tasks to completion is a must.
Qualifications:
• Some controls knowledge – (not necessarily design capability, but know what a controller does)
• Some hardware testing experience
• C programming
• IBM PC knowledge (old PC platforms - 1980s technology)
• Ability to write test procedures and test scripts
• Ability to use matlab and/or python for data reduction and plotting
• Can write test reports
• Can create system block diagrams
• Excellent speaking and writing skills
