Assistant to the Hearing Examiner (Administrative)32 hours per week, hybrid remote in Tacoma, WASupporting the Hearing Examiner in conducting public hearings and issuing decisions

Responsibilities
• Organize files, schedule site visits, and prepare public meetings• Complete required documentation process and assist with decision issuance• Coordinate and maintain the hearing calendar for Hearing Examiners• Attend hearings, help organize exhibits, and manage technical aspects of meetings• Prepare and send correspondence related to hearings and meetings• Perform various administrative duties in support of Hearing Examiners• Create and maintain case files, monitor status, and track deadlines• Respond to inquiries and communications• Assist in the preparation and finalization of hearing decisions• Establish and maintain Hearing Examiner files and records
Requirements
• Three years of administrative, customer service, or public relations experience in a government setting• Experience in the legal field and/or related legal training preferred• High School diploma or GED• Licensed to drive in the state of Washington required• Background check required
