LC State invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor or Instructor of Computer Science
Salary and rank based on experience and qualifications:
Assistant Professor: $65,000 - $70,000
Instructor: $55,000 - $65,000
Degree Required:
Assistant Professor (tenure track): Ph.D. in Computer Science from a regionally accredited college or university
Instructor (non-tenure track): Masters in Computer Science from a regionally accredited college or university
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Terminal degree and college teaching experience preferred
2. Quality on-line instructional experience
3. Collegiality within a team environment
4. Ability to work independently
5. Perform effectively under pressure and with deadlines
6. Experience utilizing technology
7. Critical thinking, problem-solving and written verbal communication skills
Responsibilities: This 9-month with pay and benefits over 12 months, full-time, tenure track faculty member will be responsible for teaching Computer Science related courses. The teaching assignment is 12 credit course load per semester.
