Position SummaryUnder the direction of the Head Men's Basketball Coach, the Assistant Men's Basketball Coach will support and enhance the mission of the San Diego State University Athletic Department. The incumbent will be responsible for assisting in the direction of the Men's Basketball program, performing a variety of coaching functions related to the sport of men's basketball in the Athletic Department. These coaching functions include, but are not limited to the following: recruiting, administrative duties, coaching, counseling, teaching, staging, fundraising, and public services.This is a full-time (1.0 time-base), benefits eligible, at-will position. This position is designated exempt under FLSA and is not eligible for overtime compensation. Standard SDSU work hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., but may vary based on operational needs.The individual hired into this role will work on campus at SDSU in San Diego.Department SummaryThe Department of Athletics, utilizing the services of over 150 employees, is responsible for the intercollegiate athletics program at San Diego State University. Currently, there are 19 sport programs, approximately 550 student-athletes, and 17 offices in the department.
