About the Role Under the direction of the Manager General Cashiering, the Assistant Manager General Cashiering is responsible for overseeing all aspects of cashier operations, including supervising and training staff, ensuring customer satisfaction, handling cash/credit transactions, and resolving customer complaints. They are also responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Position Responsibilities · Ensuring strict adherence to general cashiering policies, procedures and internal controls.
· Counting, verifying and signing for banks issued and/or assigned
· Maintaining adequate cash on hand while determining proper cash flows.
· Prepares daily tip deposits for Casino, F&B, Resort and Hotel team members.
· Ensures proper staffing levels of assigned area and that superior customer service is always provided.
· Ensures all company policy and procedures are always followed.
· Ensures accountability of all transactions through verification and documentation of exchanges.
· Responsible for adhering to all Anti-Money Laundering procedures.
· Troubleshoots when problems arise and assist all department team members in the performance of their duties.
· Effectively coach, train and develop team members in both customer service and technical areas.
· Exposure to related environmental factors including but not limited to excessive noise, and stress related to servicing customers in a high pressure and fast paced environment
· Must be able to stand for an entire shift
· Must be able to work holidays and weekends, as well as flexible shifts and/or unusual hours
Requirements · High School Diploma, GED certification or equivalent.
· 3 + years cashiering experience.
· Advanced customer service and problem solving skills
· Excellent interpersonal, verbal communication skills required
· Ability to effectively communicate in English
· Knowledge of basic accounting methods, policies and procedures.
· Prior experience working with Excel, time and attendance systems and outlook preferred.
