Position Title: Assembly
Wage: $17.25/hour
Shift: 1st
Hours: 6am-2:30pm
QPS is seeking Assemblers on 1st shift for a growing manufacturer in Deerfield. As an Assembler, you will be helping deliver innovative lifesaving products and software solutions to EMS, hospital, public safety, and military customers globally. Assembly Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Perform limited electromechanical production subassembly and assembly operations of a repetitive nature
- Assemble and/or install various electrical and/or mechanical components where operations and sequences are specified by established documentation
- May perform routine tasks in preparation for assembly such as cutting wire to specified size, stripping, tinning, or bending wire parts, wiring and fastening terminal connections
- May operate automatic and semiautomatic assembly equipment
- May cross train in each assembly station/department
- Other duties as assigned
Assembly Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Entry-level, generally less than 1 year experience
- Familiar with general computer operation; IPC Soldering Certification a plus
- Lift 35lbs
- Must be able to use small hand tools such as soldering irons, wire strippers, crimpers, wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers
- Ability to read and understand assembly documentation, blueprints, and/or wire lists
