We are led by our Values: Take Charge, Team Up, and Be True.We are currently seeking an Area Sales Director for the Eastern Area of our Pulmonary/GI division. In this role, you will develop sales strategies and manage a team of Regional Sales Directors (RSDs) to achieve set sales goals, targets, and revenue. You will work closely with our US Senior Leadership team and Global Business Intelligence. You will also be responsible for executing assigned corporate goals to grow Ambu into the foremost single use endoscopy leader in Pulmonology and other emerging markets in the US. This position is well suited for an inspirational leader who is motivated to build a winning culture and lead from the front.Essential Functions and Responsibilities:Select, develop, and coach a high performing team of professionals to meet or exceed targets of profitable revenue growthCreate an atmosphere of collaboration and trust across teamsOversee the daily operations of the sales department in specified areaMonitor and analyze performance metrics and suggest improvementsPrepare monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecastsCollaborate with Marketing and Product Development departments to ensure brand consistencyWork in tandem with the CSO, VPs and other ASDs to develop the overall Pulmonology and GI Endoscopy strategyAchieve and exceed assigned Sales budget each yearDevelop comp plans and quotas for RSDs and the sales team in conjunction with the CSO, Sales Operations, and other VPsMaintain effective business relationships with executive decision makers in large IDNs (Health Networks)Implement the company's sales process to establish a culture of consultative selling to decision-makers at all levelsCoach RSDs to build effective staff/support relationships that enable them to respond quickly to emerging opportunities and provide for seamless execution of the company's business processesDrive high level teaming and collaboration to gain the committed and motivated efforts of the RSDs and sales teamParticipate in sales calls with RSDs to provide feedback, and to assist with large opportunitiesPerform field rides with sales representatives on a consistent basisPerform all other duties as needed or required to maintain and grow profitable businessTravel a minimum of 60% of the timePerformance Criteria:Provide consistent performance management of RSDs and help guide them with the performance management of their sales representativesProvide a consistently high level of service to clientsMaintain complete and accurate communication to RSDs and CSO, at all timesManage sales region within established expense levelsEnsure 100% accuracy of all documentation submitted to companyProvide timely submission of all required reportsRespond to problems, ideas, and solutions presented, in conjunction with corporate needs and policiesProvide leadership in a manner which does not distract from a positive working atmosphere and relays the commitment of Ambu to the individualProvide advice and recommendations to assist the RSDs and sales representatives in making sound decisions to ensure the maximum efficient use of all personnel and equipment, based on the needs of the companyMaintain a professional, helpful attitude in dealings with colleagues, supervisors, and their departmental personnel, at all timesBuild a performance cultureEnsure compliance with all SOP'sProvide accurate, legible, and complete processing documentationModel the Ambu values at all timesFollow the Ambu Non-Disclosure/Confidentiality agreement at all timesQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management or relevant field(2) years' experience of leading leaders and/or a minimum of (4) but preferably (6) years of experience in a medical device hospital sales management role, preferredApplicable experience of sales performance metricsOutstanding communication (verbal and written), presentation and leadership skillsExcellent organizational and time management skillsCustomer oriented with strong negotiation skillsA consistent record of managing teams who exceed sales performance expectations and innate customer and people development skillsAbility to understand and apply market intelligence to sales strategyHigh level of financial and business acumen, able to analyze and solve problems with varying degrees of complexityDemonstrated professionalism, dependability, collaboration and influencing skillsAbility to use technology and analysis tools (Excel, Outlook, CRM, web, databases)Executive presence to influence senior decision-makersProficient in stakeholder managementAAP/EEO StatementAmbu provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.#LI-Remote
