Job Description
The position consistently carries out a range of duties to analyze and lead the delivery of the most complex or difficult duties associated with process improvement/reengineering, Talent Review, knowledge management, customized facilitation, team effectiveness, DiSC and change management/strategic planning efforts. Complex projects may include:
Political and/or sensitive matters Department-wide implications Significant financial investment Complex human interactions affecting the business environment Multi-agency perspectives-including outside agencies, industry, multiple MDOT work areas with competing viewpoints and/or initiative within the department High-risk Breaking new ground-introducing technologies and initiatives that are brand new to the department The position is responsible for leading projects, stakeholder relations, and problem-resolution responsibilities. This position provides other specialized services, including project implementation and project management for projects that are complex or highly sensitive in nature. The Senior Performance Analyst also serves as a coach and mentor for junior facilitators.


The "Salary" listed above is a range that reflects the minimum rate at the trainee level through the maximum rate at the advanced (12) level. Based on education and experience, candidates will be reviewed to determine what level they are qualified for. All about MDOT

Education and Experience for Departmental Analyst (Departmental Trainee) 9 (FOR CLASSIFIED STATE EMPLOYEES ONLY) Education
Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school.



Experience
Four years of experience as an advanced 9-level worker in an ECP Group One classification.


OR


Three years of experience as an E9, E10, or E11-level worker in an ECP Group One classification.


OR


Two years of experience as an experienced level worker in an ECP Group One technician or paraprofessional classification.


OR


Two years of experience as a first-line supervisor in an ECP Group Three classification.


OR


One year of experience as a second-line supervisor in an ECP Group Three classification.



Paraprofessional classifications are those requiring an associate's degree or two years of college. Educational Substitution
College credits may be substituted on a proportional basis (one year of college education may substitute for one quarter of the required experience) for up to one half of the required experience. Alternate Education and Experience Departmental Analyst (Departmental Trainee 9) 9 - 12 Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school and the equivalent of at least two years of full-time active-duty experience at or above the E-6 level in the uniformed services may be substituted for the education requirement.

Vacation and Sick Leave: Eligible full-time employees receive between 15 and 35 personal days and 13 sick days per year that may be rolled over to the following year if not used. Eligible employees also receive an additional day each year for community service or school functions.



Paid Parental Leave: Eligible employees can take 12 weeks of paid leave immediately after a birth or adoption to allow needed time together at home with a new child.
