Administrative Support Specialist Job Description: Our client, a global research non-profit is looking for a project support specialist to work on community-engaged environmental health research projects. The project support specialist will work closely with clients, employees, project teams and contractors to develop, manage and meet project timelines and deliverables. This position is hybrid out of the Durham area, and is a long term contract with potential to convert/extend.
Responsibilities: Review documents provided by participants and/or contractors to ensure they meet program requirements.
Support the technical team in fulfilling contractual requirements under the direction of a task leader.
Support projects focused on virtual participant support and environmental health research.
Identify participant needs and resolve specific issues using program knowledge or communication with project team members.
Follow standard operating procedures or protocols with training.
Perform clerical, administrative, and general office duties that may document preparation, data entry, record and file maintenance, and scheduling meetings utilizing Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Smartsheet, and other project management software.
Education Requirements: Bachelors Degree from a 4-year college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
Knowledge of the environmental or public health field, a plus
Practical experience with customer support, preferred
Practical experience working with child care facilities or schools, preferred
