Accounts Receivable Manager Requirements Ideal candidate should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, can work independently as well as in a team environment, be an initiative-taker with advanced organizational, multi-tasking skills, as well as strong excel skillsCandidate should contain the ability to make independent decisions concerning error resolution, task assignments and time managementCandidate must be proficient in the healthcare industry billing guidelines, possess 5+ years of experience in a management position in the healthcare industry and be willing to work flexible hours, when requiredAccounts Receivable Manager Duties & Responsibilities Train, manage and direct billing staff to daily functions of the complete billing processAssist program staff and leadership team with matters pertaining to billing and the Electronic Health Records (E.H.R.) softwareTroubleshoots, analyzes, and resolves billing issues in the E.H.R softwareCollaborates with E.H.R. company and in-house IT team to evaluate and troubleshoot system issuesAssists in the development and distribution of reports for daily, weekly, and month end usePerform month end closingDevelop and maintain an audit plan to evaluate claims and transactions to ensure compliance with billing guidelinesMonitor cash collection, billing, and the accounts receivable aging to ensure accuracy and timely payment collectionsAssist management by providing system administration including personnel access to billing related platformsWork with payors to resolve all advanced/complex billing issuesDevelop and maintain knowledge in best practices, policies, and processesDevelop tutorials to assist with billing trainingsWork closely with billing staff, managers, and director to meet deadlines, monitor staff performance, review billing exceptions, and take appropriate actionsAbility to maintain working relationships with outside agencies as neededKeep current in E.H.R software, support environments and components as well as the interfaces to other productsOther duties as deemed necessary and assigned by the Director of Accounts ReceivableAccounts Receivable Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)Degree PreferredMust exhibit a thorough understanding of the healthcare industry to provide knowledgeable and timely responsesCandidate must be proficient in Electronic Health Records software as well as related billing platformsExperience in Behavior Health industry preferred
