Responsibilities
• Prepares required financial statements and fiscal reports.• Communicates with various stakeholders to provide information and assistance.• Maintains cash management records.• Prepares, monitors, reconciles, audits, and forecasts revenues, expenditures, and budgets.• Reviews and approves purchases and contracts.• Participates in the development of new accounting techniques and systems.• Compiles manuals and prepares managerial reports.
Requirements
• Baccalaureate degree with 24 semester hours in accounting.• Certified public accountant (CPA) certificate can substitute for degree and 24 hours in accounting.• 6 years of full-time work experience in any field can substitute for the degree.• Combining work experience and college credit can substitute for the degree (maximum 120 semester hours).• College credit can be substituted for up to 4 years of full-time work experience.• At least 2 years of full-time work experience is required for candidates with 120 or more semester hours of credit but without a degree.• College hours or degree must be from an accredited college or university.
