Responsibilities
• Complete assigned duties as part of the accounting close process• Apply knowledge of accounting policies and procedures to assigned tasks• Perform analysis and reconciliation through system queries• Analyze, interpret and communicate variances in the month-end close• Assist in accounting and reporting activities and special projects• Perform other necessary duties
Requirements
• High School diploma or GED and 4 years of professional experience in accounting• Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or closely related area with 2 years of professional experience in accounting• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or closely related area• Proficiency with Excel• Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions in English• Ability to communicate in English• Must be able to work in a potentially stressful environment• Work is mostly performed in an office setting• Occasional lifting of moderately heavy objects• Personal protective equipment is required• Freeport-McMoRan promotes a drug/alcohol-free work environment• Pre-employment and random drug testing may be conducted• Candidates may be required to participate in a pre-employment medical examination• Equal Opportunity Employer
