2023-24 Substitute Student Services/Pupil Services District-Wide Salary: $47.04 - 65.23 Hourly Wage Application Deadline: May 31, 2024

Student Services/Pupil Services/Speciality Substitute - Holds a Master's degree or higher and an active license with WI DPI in one of the follow areas: school psychologist, school counselor, school social work, school occupational therapy, school physical therapy, vision, and speech and language clinician. Positions could be short-term or longer-term, depending on the need of the school environment.
Essential Duties
MMSD Student Services Staff function in the role of the regular contracted staff member while covering in that building. For full job descriptions, please refer to this document .
Competency Areas High Expectations For Every Student Student & Family Engagement Resilience & Results Orientation Self-Awareness & Growth Mindset Understanding of the general developmental needs of students across grade levels and the ability to effectively support these unique needs. Extensive knowledge of Assistive Technology and adaptations of instructional technology to meet the needs of students. Understanding of the span of disability conditions that are present in an educational setting. Cultural competence to work effectively with all students and families in MMSD. Strong equity vision for all students in MMSD. Excellent collaborative and engagement skills to work with teams of people that include both school staff, students and families, and outside agency personnel. Exceptional organizational skills, ability to prioritize job duties and maximize time efficiency. Ability to understand and use data-based decision making. Required Qualifications : Master's Degree or higher from an accredited program Must hold an Active DPI license in the area of work being supported, covering the grade levels being supported. Speech and Language Pathology Physical Therapist Occupational Therapist School Social Worker Deaf or Hard of Hearing Visual Impairment Counselor Psychologist Orientation and Mobility Experience working with children and youth Experience working cross-culturally and/or commitment to work toward improving one's own cultural competence, i.e., valuing difference/diversity recognizing personal limitations in one's skills and expertise, and having the desire to learn in these areas. Ability to follow written/oral directions Ability to use provided tools and resources (computer, smartboard, Build relationships with adults and youth Being dependable and able to adapt to changes Desired Qualifications Bilingual in English and Hmong and/or Spanish Next Steps
