The Broadway Wine Merchants is looking for a knowledgeable, experienced, dynamic and fun wine educated salesperson to join our team, helping our proprietor manage a thriving wine retail and bistro program. This position also encompasses serving in the bistro which includes hosting, serving, bussing and dishwashing. Being a small team we do a little bit of everything. This position requires excellent communication skills with management, customers, and other associates, as well as the ability to converse easily with many people from diverse backgrounds. Ability to work independently at times without significant direction or supervision is a must. Highly motivated and able to take direction. Representation of the company and brand in a professional, gracious, and enthusiastic manner.

Regular schedule is expected to be Tuesday – Saturday. What You Will Do: Conduct sales and provide hospitality in the bistro. Represent The Broadway professionally and educate guests on wines, menu items & shop history. Interact with guests in a warm, fun, professional, and enthusiastic manner. Maintain an inviting and clean environment (indoor and outdoor areas & restroom). Stock merchandise and supplies as needed. Perform opening and closing procedures. Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift cases of wine Process phone orders and wine shipping orders. Attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this position. Follow all appropriate policy and safety procedures. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Restaurant or retail sales experience is a must; Well-rounded knowledge of European and Northwest wines is a plus; Proficient in POS systems required; Read, write, and speak English fluently; The ability to work Saturdays & evenings with a flexible schedule; Must possess or be able to obtain OLCC alcohol servers permit and food handler's permit.
