The Department of Arts, Languages, and Philosophy at Missouri University of Science and Technology invites applications for a part-time lecturer to direct the Missouri S&T University Orchestra. The successful applicant will teach one one-credit ensemble course and actively engage in the life of the department.
The University Orchestra is made up of approximately 50-60 students and community members. Rehearsals are held Monday evenings from 7-9:30 p.m. and there is one scheduled performance at the end of the semester.
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Master's degree in music, music education or related subject area. Proven, successful experience as a high school, college, or community orchestra director. KUMMER

Supported by the Kummer Institute Foundation at Missouri S&T, this unique college integrates key academic, co-curricular, and administrative activities related to technology commercialization, business innovation and entrepreneurship, systems thinking, and economic development. Within The Kummer College lives several departments: Department of Business and Information Technology (BIT), Department of Economics, Department of Engineering Management and Systems Engineering (EMSE), Kummer Student Programs and the Division of Technology Transfer and Economic Development (TTED).

The College of Arts, Sciences, and Education is a catalyst of innovation, creativity, and discovery, where students and faculty work side-by-side to create and share knowledge and understanding.
