Family Services of Northeast Wisconsin in Green Bay, Wisconsin is actively seeking an experienced and empathetic full-time Therapist . Do you have a master's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or a related mental health field? This therapist position earns a competitive salary depending on experience. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A THERAPIST As a counselor, you support clients in our Beacon program with therapeutic counseling in this integrated school based program. With the information that you collected from the assessment, you update diagnostic impressions and develop a strength based treatment plan . You provide psychotherapy that relates to the established treatment goals. To ensure that a client is progressing toward their goals, you monitor their progress and adjust services as needed in collaboration with the student, parents and other providers. You will assure quality, innovative programming, positive collaborative relationships and therapeutic counseling services in compliance with DHS 35.
Being detail-oriented, you maintain client files and thoroughly document the events of the therapeutic process. You also complete paperwork after each visit that includes notes and billing. Your position is highly collaborative and requires ensuring an understanding of program services available for clients by engaging in public relations, marketing and educational activities. To provide the best care possible, you collaborate with other therapists, service providers, and community partners. You gain a great sense of accomplishment and satisfaction with the vital services that you provide to our community .
THERAPIST QUALIFICATIONS Master's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or a related mental health field Licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) or professional counselor (LPC) in the state of Wisconsin 3 years' experience working in human services or related field. Do you build trusting interpersonal relationships? Are you an active listener with strong communication skills? Is emotional intelligence your strong suit? Are you collaborative? THERAPIST WORK SCHEDULE Your typical full-time counseling schedule is Monday through Friday during normal school hours, a willingness to work some early morning and evening hours is required in order to meet the needs of the students and their families. This is a 10.5 month/year position.
WHAT DO OUR THERAPISTS LIKE ABOUT WORKING AT FAMILY SERVICES? Blanche has worked at Family Services for 16 years and provides psychotherapy for children, adolescents, adults and families. Blanche enjoys the flexibility that she has at Family Services so that she is able to work fulltime and still be a mom. Blanche enjoys the ability to take vacation days and spend quality time with her family throughout the year. She reports "I absolutely love my clients, they are amazing". Blanche enjoys her co-workers and appreciates a supportive, no drama work environment. Working at Family Services Outpatient Clinic, Blanche identifies having a healthy work/life balance and is able to obtain Student Loan Forgiveness as an additional perk.
Chelsea has worked at Family Services for 13 years, 6 of which have been at the Outpatient Clinic. She provides psychotherapy to children, adolescents, adults and families. Chelsea enjoys working with supportive and caring professionals who are willing to do their best to serve clients and the greater community. Chelsea also reports that she is thankful to be a part of a flexible work environment that allows her to take care of her personal agenda while working full-time.
