Scheduled Hours 40 Position Summary Supervise ultrasound sonographers and daily clinic operations. Primary contact and resource for ultrasound protocols, workflow and patient/clinic matters. Serves as liaison between physicians and sonographers. Job Description Primary Duties and Responsibilities Complete and maintains Sonographer schedules. Address/assist with scheduling questions or concerns. Assist sonographers to complete exams or verify anomalies if needed. Assist with scanning as needed. Maintain AIUM certification and expectations. Lead staff meetings and participates in management meetings. Maintain Joint Commission readiness and compliance regulations. Coach and complete annual evaluations for sonographers. Participate in all HLD activities. Assist with ultrasound students, fellows, resident training. Maintain sonographer time off. Complete sonographer timesheets. Oversee sonographer training, maintains certificates. Direct Viewpoint problems, upgrades. Assist Manager with Sonographer recruitment/onboarding/training. Assist Manager with daily operations, monitoring volume, scheduling errors, location needs. Assist Manager in data queries, clinic reports. Working Conditions Normal ultrasound department environment with exposure to bodily fluids, chemicals, and electrical hazards. May lift, position, push and/or transfer patients at times and have some pressure caused by adherence to patient examination schedules.
Preferred Qualifications Sonographer experience in OB/GYN ultrasound. Working knowledge of ultrasound equipment and procedures with interpersonal and communication skills. Required Qualifications Associate degree, tech school, or equivalent experience in sonography.
Grade C14 Salary Range $73,400.00 - $113,800.00 / Annually
The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
