Summer Student

Coeur Rochester is looking for Summer Students to work in varying departments during the 2024 summer. The position will start on or after June 3rd and end on or before August 31st. The position is not to exceed 12 weeks.The Summer Student is responsible for the performance of the following duties in a safe and productive manner. The summer student will be placed in one of the following areas:Crusher, Process, IT, Safety, Lab, and Warehouse. The Summer Student will report directly to supervision within their assigned department, and may be asked to assist in other departments as necessary.Job DutiesSpecific job duties will be assigned as they relate to the department the student is assigned to, but can include the following:Clean up crusher area including hand shoveling, skid steer operation, compressed air, etc.Painting, fence building and maintenance, reclamation work, piping, running parts, stocking and inventory countMust be able to be trained in and able to operate light vehicles, and other equipment as necessaryAssists with upkeep of department to maintain a safe working environmentOther miscellaneous labor tasks as assignedPhysical RequirementsFollow all procedures and safety measures to assure safe productionWork in all conditions and environments, varying amount of time on the job is outdoorsAble to lift 50 lbs. on an occasional basisAble to walk up and down slopes and uneven ground dailySummer Hire Placement QualificationsMust be 18 years of age.Must be a family member of a current Coeur Rochester employee.Must be enrolled in or accepted to a post-secondary school to begin in the Fall 2024Work as a team member and communicate openly with othersSelf-directed and able to take leadership role on many projectsWilling to stop work for safety concerns and always abide by safety best practices, policies and proceduresWork will be indoor and outdoor in all types of weatherThis position may require the individual to be exposed to chemicals, confined spaces, working from heights and in areas where hearing protection is recommended.
