The Solutions Architect position is responsible for designing system enhancements that meet business needs through collaboration with business and IT resources. Provides technical knowledge and analytical skills to business units to assist in solving problems, improving processes, and refining requirements. What you will do: Analytical/Architectural Functions Partners with department subject matter experts (SMEs) to analyze enhancement requests, identifying any and all root causes of issues and/or potential areas of improvement or efficiency gains Leads solution design and implementation of requested system changes Provides a holistic approach and process flow orientation to analysis and solution design Develops scalable solutions to meet business needs and demands Discovers obstacles and develops action plan to navigate and resolve technical issues Design and implement creative solutions to meet needs of business line Discuss complex business and technology issues with technical and non-technical business users and customers Report, analyze, interpret, and research information Project Management Functions Manages pipeline of projects and/or enhancements that align with the department's strategic goals Collaborates with Solutions Portfolio Manager on project documentation, adherence to time constraints, project prioritization, and synchronization with other IT Solutions initiatives Communicates with assigned resources to ensure on-time completion of planned tasks Communicates with counterparts and business partners to ensure continuing alignment with project objectives What we are looking for:  3+ years of experience in the mortgage industry Advanced knowledge and understanding of Encompass Experience with agile software development methodology preferred Solid knowledge and understanding of a variety of loan programs including Conventional, FHA, USDA, VA and secondary marketing guidelines to manage complex loan level issues Basic knowledge and understanding with a programming language a plus Ability to work independently to meet project requirements with minimal supervision Solid knowledge and understanding of current business acumen Demonstrated experience analyzing and interpreting data Demonstrated experience thinking critically to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternate solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems Demonstrated experience critically thinking, researching and interpreting information, problem solving and making solid business decisions Demonstrated experience producing accurate and detailed work on multiple projects under time pressure Demonstrated experience effectively managing relationships with internal and external partners Demonstrated experience with attention to detail, written time management and oral communication, multi-tasking, and working in a team atmosphere adhering to tight deadlines Demonstrated experience communicating with all levels of management Solid knowledge and understanding of organizing people, tasks, and activities to yield efficient work flow Solid knowledge and understanding of customer service and intrapersonal best practices At Fairway, we are committed to cultivating, fostering, and preserving a culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
