Software Instructional Design Specialist III Location Broomfield, CO : Are you known for your attention to detail, are highly organized and pride yourself on your design acumen? This could be the perfect opportunity for you! As an Instructional Design Specialist III, you will be using your skills and expertise to expand our in-house learning programs and practices including identifying learning needs, creating training that skills our employees for more responsible positions, and increasing effectiveness of training. You'll be responsible for creating e-learning modules, instructor-led training, and training reference materials. You'll also be responsible for coaching stakeholders and SMEs who are creating training and developing criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of our training. In this role, you will be expected to focus on refining the design of training using Instructional Design best practices. The training you create will serve as an example for more junior team members. You will be the lead Instructional Designer on large enterprise projects where outcomes will be highly visible. ***This role will be on-site in our Broomfield, CO office. It is not a remote or hybrid role.*** Sierra Space-based in Louisville, CO with operations in Madison, WI, Durham, NC, Huntsville, AL, Houston, TX, and Kennedy Space Center, FL—designs and manufactures the Dream Chaser spaceplane and other advanced spacecraft, commercial space destinations, satellites, propulsion and environmental systems, spacecraft subsystems and components for the U.S. government (including NASA), commercial customers, and international organizations. Must-haves: Bachelor's degree in education, psychology, instructional or graphic design, or related field of study, and typically six (6) years of related work experience; higher level degree may substitute for experience. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education Extensive knowledge of Instructional Design and Adult Learning principles Experience managing high level stakeholders and SMEs Extensive experience managing training projects from analysis to evaluation Experience creating compliance or process training in a highly regulated environment Extensive working knowledge of e-learning authoring tools (Articulate 360, Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe Captivate) Experience with LMSes (Workday, Cornerstone, etc.) Preferred: Master's degree in education, psychology, instructional or graphic design, or related field of study Learning or Instructional Design Certificate (e.g. Adult Learning Certificate, ATD Instructional Design Certificate, etc.)• Experience with audio and/or video production• Background in needs analysis and evaluation of training effectiveness Physical/Mental/Emotional Requirements: Frequently walk, sit, stand, climb stairs and steps Occasionally repeat same hand, arm, and finger motion many times to include finger and hand dexterity. Frequently requires vision abilities to include close, distance, depth perception, and telling the difference between colors. Occasionally requires hearing abilities to include discerning different tones and volumes. Rarely lifting or carrying up to 20 lbs. Estimated Starting Salary Range: $79,264.96 - $118,897.45 Sierra Space offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
