Full job description Position Summary
Transform lives by overseeing physical safety and security of the College's property, students, employees and visitors.



Duties & Responsibilities
Assist with the hiring, supervision, training, scheduling, coaching and evaluation of student security staff.
Provide guidance in college-wide safety initiatives.
Assist with strategically planning and directing the College's emergency management plan.
Respond to and investigate crisis/emergent situations during normal operational hours and after hours.
Provide security presence at all Mid-State locations.
Strategically plan and supervise college-wide security efforts to ensure safety of student, staff and visitors.
Provide instruction and training to College on crisis intervention, risk assessment and personal safety.
Develop plans for building security systems, conducting security inspections, and recommending prevention/corrective measure as necessary to supervisor.
Coordinate incident response, reporting and data collection in compliance with federal and state requirements.
Serve as administrator for RAVE, Informacast and Velocity EHS (SDS Online).
Actively participate in Title IX investigations, training and discussion. Utilize Maxient for reporting.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Associate degree in related field required.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a related field required.
Statutory ability to carry under LEOSA (HR218) required.
Preference will be given to those with experience in law enforcement/public safety.
Knowledge of or ability to learn Microsoft Office required.
Must possess excellent problem resolution, organizational, interpersonal, communication, and project management skills.
Must possess ability to:
