Position Summary:
The Property Maintenance Hand is responsible for assisting in maintaining all of the organization's properties inside and outside, general maintenance and repairs of company equipment and support the general operations of the business. Duties and Responsibilities: General maintenance of company warehouse and other properties Assistance with shipping/receiving Mowing and yard maintenance and cleanliness Perform general repairs that do not require a specialized technician Troubleshoot issues to determine necessary repairs Maintenance on heavy equipment such as changing oil, replacing filters, etc. Assist in any projects as required by the organization Occasional overnight travel to retrieve new inventory Meet goals as outlined by management. All other tasks as assigned by management Required Skills: Ability to use hand and power tools General handyman knowledge Ability to operate lawn equipment and tractors Excellent organizational and time management skills Problem solving skills Ability to use pallet jack, forklift, scissor lift, tractor or other heavy equipment as needed Ability to back and pull a trailer Self-starter with the ability to work with little to no supervision Education and Experience: Over 18 Valid Drivers License Physical Demands : Occasionally ascends/descends a ladder for various tasks The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand Frequently moves boxes or parts weighing up to 75 pounds for various needs Consistently works in outdoor weather conditions Character Traits Required to be Successful in this Position: Team Player- works well with others, consistently does what they say they will do, contributes to the overall organization by offering feedback in a positive and respectful manner, shows support and provides help when needed Organized-meticulous planner Efficient- capable of producing desired results without wasting materials, time or energy Attention to Detail – being careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks Critical Thinking – using logic and reasoning to identify alternative solutions Motivated – show up having a desire to work Observant – quick to notice what is going on around you Decisiveness – ability to recognize key factors and finalize decisions Cooperative – get along with people Integrity – being honest and ethical Leadership – willingness to lead, take charge, and offer opinions and direction Dedicated – committed to the success of the project and the company Wage: $17/hr
