Summary Meteorcomm is looking for a talented Network Engineer, Senior I to join our Operations team to help build and operate our mission critical 5 9's network with global scale. You will be part of a team with significant impact on the service delivered to our customers, partners, and owners.
Major Duties:
Participate in the gathering and clarification of requirements and use cases to better define network design elements Create design solutions that will balance customer goals and needs with technical constraints Support change management throughout the network's lifecycle Identify and coordinate the resolution of emergent issues throughout the network's lifecycle Work closely with the security team to ensure that MCC's corporate and commercial networks are stable and secure Clearly communicate designs and changes to technical teams including engineering, testing, and customer organizationsEssential: Successful candidate shall have (5-7 years of progressive experience in the following) Mission critical 5 9's Enterprise level network operations, maintenance, design and troubleshooting. OSI Layers 1-7 familiarity and troubleshooting utilizing logical methodologies and tools. Operation, and network design to include Routing, Switching, Firewalls, Security and Monitoring tools. Expertise in L2/L3 switching and routing. Expertise in Load Balancing both local and distributed utilizing DNS and load balancing appliances. Experience with Telco connectivity technologies, wireline, fiber, direct IP Experience working in and with hosted data center environments.The successful candidate shall be knowledgeable in the following products, protocols, and tools:
Cisco, Palo Alto, f5 and or other common manufacturer technologies. Wireshark and TCP dump, Linux familiarity.Cisco NX-OS, BGP, OSPF, and other current routing technologies. VRF, VLAN, VPN, MFA, CIDR, LACP, MPLS, Cisco Viptela SD WAN, iSCSI, and WiFiDesirable: 5+ years of experience with communications system development Knowledge of RF networks, protocols, and hardware Working knowledge of common wireless protocols, network topologies, and IT infrastructure Familiarity with TDD, Agile, and Scaled Agile methodologiesBenefits:

Compensation:
The pay range for this position is $108,202 to $167,712. In addition, there is a potential yearly bonus at 10% of base salary.This is a hybrid position based in Renton WA. Our current hybrid schedule requires working onsite Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday each week.
