We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Marketing Specialist (contractor) to join our team. This role will play a crucial part in supporting our marketing efforts and ensuring the successful execution of various marketing initiatives, including events, trade shows, and promotional campaigns.


Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Assist in the planning and execution of marketing campaigns, events, and trade shows to promote SoundThinking's products and solutions. Manage pre-event email outreach to potential attendees, ensuring effective communication and driving event attendance Conduct post-event follow-up activities to nurture leads and engage attendees, maintaining a strong relationship with event participants. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless event logistics, including booth setup, materials, and equipment. Maintain a shared event calendar, tracking upcoming events, trade shows, and campaign milestones to ensure alignment across the marketing team. Coordinate the procurement, design, and production of trade show merchandise and promotional materials, ensuring brand consistency and high-quality deliverables. Work closely with vendors and suppliers to manage trade show merchandise requirements and fulfillment, tracking inventory levels and reordering as needed. Collect and analyze post-event data and feedback, preparing post-event performance reports that outline key metrics, successes, and areas for improvement. Collaborate with the marketing team to develop engaging content for event promotions, including social media posts, blog articles, and email communications. Assist in managing and updating the company's website and social media platforms with event-related content and announcements. Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to contribute innovative ideas to the marketing team. Provide general administrative support to the marketing department as needed. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field. 3-5 years of proven experience in marketing coordination, event management, or similar roles. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen attention to detail. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with marketing software and tools. Knowledge of Salesforce.com and HubSpot highly preferred. Creative thinker with the ability to contribute fresh ideas and innovative solutions. Team player who can collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Strong interpersonal skills and a customer-focused mindset. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
