Responsibilities
• Support client in activities of daily living such as bathing and toileting.• Assist with self-administered medications with periodic prompts.• Provide companionship and engage in activities with the client.• Complete homemaking tasks including laundry, cleaning, meal preparation, and transportation.• Report changes in client's condition to supervisor/health professional.• Take and record vital signs and complete required reports on time.• Adhere to client's schedule and preferences.• Maintain a clean and well-groomed appearance.• Demonstrate empathy for older adults and value their independence.• Prepare simple meals and demonstrate appropriate cleaning techniques.
Requirements
• High school diploma or G.E.D.• Experience caring for seniors preferred.• Compassionate and reliable with good communication skills.• Ability to pass a Criminal and Background Record Check.• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation if required.• Ability to work 12-hour shifts and adapt to varying schedules.• Ability to provide at least 5 hours of sleep per night.• Adequate language and literacy skills.
