DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Perform big data analytics, and present observations and recommendations to senior management. Monitor and analyze Mainframe systems and application performance as well as managing risk to the environments. Lead and drive problem diagnostics and resolution of mainframe performance issues. Collaborate with different roles to achieve common goals. Aanalyze complex data systems, anticipate problems, and find ways to mitigate risk to successfully design and navigate the program roadmap. Responsible for driving results and implementing multiple, complex programs that span the breadth of the business. Provide technical leadership to team. Work closely with several engineering support organizations such as: Automation, Application Performance, Capacity Planning, DB2/IMS, CICS, MQ, WebSphere, System Software Groups, SRE Teams, Production Assurance and client development organizations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Math or related field of study plus 7 (seven) years of experience in the job offered or as Software Developer, Systems Administrator, Systems Engineer, Software Engineer, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Math or related field of study plus 5 (five) years of experience in the job offered or as Software Developer, Systems Administrator, Systems Engineer, Software Engineer, or related occupation.
Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: Advanced Mainframe performance and capacity concepts; SAS; MXG; BMC Mainview; Workload Manager Administration (WLM); Mainframe reporting with IBM z Performance, IzPCA capacity analytics, and Cognos; IBM Omegamon; CICS; DB2; zWebsphere; and MQ.
Job Location: 1111 Polaris Parkway, Columbus, OH 43240. Telecommuting permitted up to 60% of the week.
