POSITION SUMMARY This role is responsible for financial program management and providing accountability including audit under the Uniform Guidance, Improper Payment Information act assessment, and Grant Programs Directorate review. Serves as a member of the leadership team for the Emergency Food and Shelter Program (EFSP) department. This position directs the daily work activities of assigned team members within the department. Has responsibility for driving results and developing the team by establishing annual work goals and objectives. Determines work tactics, project deliverables, and resource requirements. Participates in the development of department action plans, work processes, and systems. This is a hybrid position with office days at the United Way Worldwide office in Alexandria, VA.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF POSITION An individual must be able to perform each essential duty listed below at a satisfactory level:
Manage financial functions of EFSP Congressional appropriations, yearly and supplemental. Lead all EFSP audits, including independent and United Way Worldwide Internal Audits and other audits/reviews. Prepare yearly budget for EFSP National Board's administrative activities. Prepare monthly reports for National Board meetings, Health & Human Services and program director. Direct the EFSP staff in Final Reports and Compliance Review Processes, including design, schedule, and prepare materials with staff assistance. Assist the Vice President with requests from the EFSP National Board and Congress. Assist the Vice President with the EFSP National Board monthly meetings as needed. Direct onsite training and compliance reviews of Local Recipient Organizations (LROs), including EFSP audit. Review outside audits of the LROs to ensure compliance with the Uniformed Guidance and EFSP National Board guideline. Provide consultation and technical assistance to Local Board and Local Recipient Organizations, as required. Salary $120,000 - $135,000
JOB REQUIREMENTS Minimum requirements include a bachelor's degree in accounting with at least six to eight years of progressive experience in a leadership role. Excellent communication and project management skills. Ability to interact with all levels of staff. Knowledge of Emergency Food and Shelter Program - preferred.
