Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive analytical, administrative, and consultation services for CSU Leaves Programs• Work closely with the HR Manager-Benefits, ADA Coordinator, and Workers' Compensation Manager• Collect, organize, present, and review confidential data on various matters• Interpret CSU policies, regulatory compliance, and contractual guidance• Serve as a resource and backup to the benefits team• Work independently and apply sound judgment to complex program challenges• Analyze, interpret, and resolve complex situations and cases• Communicate effectively in oral and written formats• Maintain good working relationships with co-workers• Work effectively with diverse individuals and promote teamwork and collegiality
Requirements
• Knowledge of benefits, Collective Bargaining Agreements, and FLSA in a union environment• Knowledge of applicable leave programs and state/federal employment policies• Knowledge of ADA accommodation, temporary/modified job duties, and return to work procedures• Ability to analyze, interpret, and resolve complex situations and cases• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, PeopleSoft HRIS, and Adobe Sign• Effective communication skills and ability to prepare clear and concise reports• Maintain good working relationships and work effectively with diverse individuals• Bachelor's degree• 2 years of experience in disability management, benefits, or related field• Preferred skills: Knowledge of Payroll Information Management System (PIMS) and CIRS reports
Key Skills Needed
• Knowledge of benefits, Collective Bargaining Agreements, FLSA in a union environment• Knowledge of applicable leave programs (e.g. FMLA, CFRA, CSU Technical letters, State Disability, ECML, PDL)• Knowledge of ADA accommodation, temporary/modified job duties and early return to work procedures• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite software applications, PeopleSoft HRIS, Adobe Sign• Effective communication skills in oral and written formats• Ability to prepare clear, concise, and comprehensive reports and records• Maintain good working relationships with co-workers• Work effectively with diverse individuals and promote teamwork and collegiality
