Control Room Operator

System One is currently seeking a Control Room Operator on a 3 month contract position located in Pasadena, TX. Control Room Operator Responsibilities: Responsible for the monitoring and controlling the operation of various systems within the plant to ensure efficient and safe operation. Maintaining optimal performance and minimizing downtime. Monitor and control all plant systems for the central control room, including gas turbines, steam turbines, heat recovery steam generators, boilers, and auxiliary systems. Operate and adjust controls to regulate equipment and processes according to operational requirements and load demands. Continuously monitor equipment parameters, alarms and trends to identify deviations from normal operation and take appropriate corrective actions. Coordinate with field operators and maintenance personnel to ensure timely response to equipment malfunctions, abnormalities or emergencies. execute start-up, shutdown and emergency procedures as required, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and regulatory standards. Conduct regular rounds in the plant to visually inspect equipment and ensure operation and housekeeping. Maintain accurate records of plant operating conditions, equipment performance, and maintenance activities. Collaborate with other operators and management to implement operational improvements and optimize plant performance. Adhere to all safety procedures, environmental regulations and company policies to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and other colleagues. Participate in training programs and skill development activities to enhance your knowledge and proficiency in plant operations. Control Room Operator Requirements: Must have Siemens 501 F3 and Ovation experience Must be authorized to work in the US. Proven experience as a control room operator in a combined cycle power plant or similar industrial facility. HS diploma or GED Strong understanding of power plant systems, including gas turbines, steam turbines, boilers and associated auxiliary equipment. Proficiency in using control systems, distributed control systems (DCS) and other plant monitoring software. Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics and P&IDs (piping and instrumentation diagrams) Duration: 3 months
Location: Pasadena, TX
Pay Rate: $55-60/hr
PD: $191/day

The work schedule will be 38 hours one week, 48 hours the next week.
