For more information, please visit our website at www.bunkerhillmining.com .Essential FunctionsStrategic planning, continuous improvement, and budgeting for departmental and business sustainability.Oversee and optimize metallurgical and engineering needs of the department, to maximize resource recovery and maintain product quality.Team Leadership: Lead and mentor technical, commercial, and interpersonal skills of the Departmental staff, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.Implement and monitor quality control measures to ensure compliance with established standards and specifications.Exhibit safety leadership by example on and off the job.Work in conjunction with the Safety and Environmental Departments to ensure compliance to Bunker Hill, State, and Federal safety and environmental standards and regulations.Manage metallurgical projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective execution while meeting safety and environmental standards.Take immediate action to correct any substandard conditions or behaviors. Generate comprehensive reports on metallurgical processes, production efficiency, and contribute to strategic decision-making.Practice Visible Felt Leadership daily.In collaboration with the Safety Department, help develop departmental safety processes that support cultural change and facilitate desired safe behaviors.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize overall operational efficiency.Provide technical support and guidance to plant operations and maintenance:Resolve operational and technical problems.Technical training of Operations.Maximize utilization of installed equipment.Drive continuous improvement in all areas.Routinely work with environmental and safety departments to improve plant industrial hygiene, resolve plant inspection results, and address safety issues:HAP and environmental compliance management.Assure integrity of solution containment and pollution control systems.Provide operational parameters for workplace hygiene improvement projects.Manage adherence to metal plans and budgets.Respond to significant variations from production plans and investigate their root cause as necessary. Review and set operational parameters (operational targets). Actively manage the principles, operation, and maintenance of all unit operations. Anticipate and resolve issues that might affect safe production and/or environmental compliance of each unit operation. Optimize production from each unit operation and attain current LOM or budget plan expectations.Environmental, Health & SafetyComply with State and Federal legal regulations, Bunker Hill Safety and Environmental policies and procedures.Cooperate with supervisors, coordinators, and managers on management of safety and environmental issues, and comply with any subsequent instructions.Intervene, as necessary, to ensure the health and safety of others in the workplace and to protect the environment.Attend scheduled or unscheduled safety meetings regularly Complete regular safety inspections of the workplace and audit work practices.Inspect work areas for conditions that are potentially hazardous to personnel or equipment.Education & Work Experience RequirementsBSc degree in Metallurgy, Minerals/Chemical Engineering.Project management experience desirable.Multiple years of experience in a lead/zinc or differential flotation operation very advantageous and preferred.5 – 10 years of experience in leadership roles preferred.Advanced knowledge and experience in metallurgical procedures, budgeting, budgeting systems, project management, ore characteristics, crushing, grinding, classification, material handling, flotation, dewatering, pumping.Good understanding of reliability maintenance preferred.Bunker Hill promotes a drug/alcohol-free work environment through mandatory pre-employment drug testing.To be considered for this position, please forward your resume to: ****** .Candidates from recruiting/staffing firms will not be accepted at this time.
