Assistant Controller

Mackinac Island Ferry Company is the largest Ferry company providing passenger and freight transportation to and from beautiful  Mackinac Island . This position is located in scenic Northern Michigan and based in St. Ignace. This is a popular tourist and historical destination drawing visitors from many parts of the world. Our peak season is Summer, but we also run a Winter Service for island residents and adventure seekers.
Mackinac Island Ferry Company is now hiring for an onsite, year-round, full-time  Assistant Controller . This person would be self-motivated and support the accuracy and compliance of our financial operations.

* Degree in Accounting, Finance or similar field
* Knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures
* Hands on experience with Accounting software
* Above average skills in Microsoft Excel
* Strong communication skills
* Solid attention to detail
* Ability to work independently
* Successfully complete a background check
