We are seeking a detail-oriented  Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team. The A/R Specialist will be responsible for collecting customer open receivables and processing customer payments timely and accurately. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on, pro-active self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and must have the ability to work closely with others, prioritize workload, and adapt to a changing environment.  This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your skills will be valued.
Key Responsibilities Drive collections through execution of standard work via email and phone communication Apply payments according to remittance details provided by customer Meet key metrics established for the position and department Research and resolve customer deductions, disputes, and issues Influence customer to take desired actions to resolve outstanding issues/invoices Identify uncollectible amounts and be proactive with potential bad debt exposure Set-up and maintain customer accounts Identify and collaborate on solutions for billing and AR deficiencies Work cross-functionally with sales, customer service, and service as needed Participate in system updates and improvements Maintain good communication with internal stakeholders to overcome obstacles Ad-hoc projects and analyses and other duties as assigned Qualifications: Associates degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Minimum of 3 years of accounts receivable experience Minimum of 1 years of customer facing experience Knowledgeable of credit / collection laws Proficient keyboarding / typing skills, Microsoft Outlook Strong experience with Microsoft Excel (vlookups and pivot tables a plus) Must have strong organization skills and meet deadlines Must have strong written and oral communication skills Experience with AS400/PRMS platform a plus Manufacturing experience a plus Experience in lean environment a plus The Coats Company is an equal opportunity employer that evaluates qualified applicants without regard to race, color, national origin, religion, ancestry, sex (including pregnancy, childbirth and related medical conditions), age, marital status, disability, veteran status, citizenship status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, and other characteristics protected by law.
