Job Description
LaSalle Network is partnering with a dynamic organization that supplies replacement parts and maintenance products for construction and mining equipment around the globe. They are looking for an Accounts Payable/Accounting Manager that is seeking an opportunity to grow within a great organization.Accounts Payable Manager Responsibilities: Ensure the accuracy of financial documents for payment, auditing and tax purposesReceive and distribute incoming accounts payable invoices and related documents for approvalEnsure fiscal files and records to document transactions are appropriately archived and maintained and that outstanding invoices are meticulously recordedMaintain 1099 vendor files for accuracy and up to date W9's for tax reportingEffective monitoring to ensure payments are made to vendors in an accurate and timely mannerProtect businesses against unintentional overpaymentManaging accounts payable ensuring a clean, up-to-date accountingReview and verify Vendor Statements as neededReconcile accounts payable transactionsInvestigate accounts payable issues as neededResearch and resolve invoice discrepancies and issuesBuild relationships with vendors and colleaguesAssist/perform the day-to-day accounts payable duties when neededSupervise reconciliation of multiple credit card accountsTrack expenses and process expense reportsRecommend ways to reduce costs and enhance revenueInspect account books for efficiency and accuracyPrepare analyses of accounts and produce monthly reportsReconcile general ledger accountsAssist with the preparation of budgeting, forecasting reports, fixed asset reports and month end closingPrepare documentation for external auditors and provide assistance to perform annual auditPrepare Sales tax returns, payments, necessary paperwork and reportsEnsure payroll tax returns accuracy and payments in accordance and assist with auditsAccounts Payable Manager Requirements:Excellent organizational skills and attention to detailExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAnalytical, computation and problem-solving skillsLeadership abilitiesCapable of meeting deadlinesBe PROACTIVE and have a teamwork mindsetKnowledge of general accounting procedures and general financial accounting and cost accountingCapable of taking on responsibility and accountability, always following parent company's general procedures and guidelines1-3 years of accounts payable or general accounting experienceExcellent computer software skills, including Excel and Accounting packages (experience with SAP is a plus)Cost optimization mindsetSpanish speaking is a plus
Salary is budgeted for $45,000-$60,000 depending on requirements met by the candidate.
