Job Description AECOM is seeking an experienced Urban Analyst to join our Global Urban Analytics Center of Excellence (COE) within AECOM's Buildings + Places business line. This individual will work collaboratively with core team members of the Urban Analytics COE as well as other AECOM teams to deliver quality projects and solutions to our clients around the world. This position is based in Arlington, VA and can be in-person or hybrid.
This position is expected to begin as soon as possible . The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Under direct supervision, may complete scientific assignments of limited complexity. Work on a wide range of products, projects, and tasks. Perform data mining, data manipulation, data analysis, and data visualization. Create reusable scripts and data pipelines to automate procedures. Create client-facing, user-friendly dashboards, tools, and applications. Develop graphics, maps, reports, and presentations. Work on multiple projects and tasks. Work in a collaborative fast-paced environment. Work closely with project team and collaborate on project scope and delivery. Qualifications Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Urban Planning, Economics, Statistics or another related field. Preferred Qualifications : Knowledge of Python, R or JavaScript. Experience with Tableau, PowerBI, or other programs/libraries in python or R. Experience with database such as writing queries/scripts to retrieve or manipulate data. Experience working with geospatial data / GIS software. Experience with core Data Science skills in data engineering, machine learning methods (regression, classification etc.). Experience in creating interactive dashboards/ tools is a plus. Additional Information Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Sponsorship is available for the position.
