We are looking for someone with experience in the trucking or heavy equipment industry who isn't afraid of tackling a hunter sales position. Someone who isn't afraid to cold call or drop in on businesses where trucks might be utilized or purchased is going to be the right fit for this role, AND would be working a very lucrative industry with uncapped commission on top of a yearly base salary.
Important Things First Pay: $50-$60k baseCommission: Additional commission provided (not included in the base range above)Total comp with base + commission:in the first year, a conservative estimate for total comp falls around $75k-$90k/year if someone has no experience; by year 2, someone should be making in the six figure range with base + commission; by Year 3, $175k-$300k is a good target range.Travel requirements:On the road (days only) within territory at least 3 days a weekTravel expenses: Paid mileage, expense account and company cell phone providedBenefits and PTO also providedDream Vacationdrawings yearly for 2 employeesRemotework not a problem but person is encouraged to be at the dealership at least one day a weekDirect HirepositionDuties Review assigned leads and conduct cold reach outs and follow ups to convert to clientsHunter-type sales activity: cold calling, appointment setting, networking, drop-ins, lunches, dinners, etc.Frequent local travel within the drivable regional territory (no overnights)Maintain relationships with leads, contacts, or accountsCome up with sales strategies in order to reach sales goalsDraw up quotes, contracts, invoices, etc. as well as other administrative upkeep for accounts as necessaryQualifications If you have a trucking background but no sales experience, apply if you have a very strong work ethic and a drive when it comes to successIf you have no trucking experience but strong outside sales or cold calling experience, we still encourage you to applyFine with frequent driving around the area, cold calling, door knocking, etc.Professional presentation with the ability to talk to anyone while maintaining professional communication skills (written and verbal)VERY good follow up, organizational skills, and detailBasic computer skills requiredLicensed and legally able to operate a vehicleCDL not required but let us know if you have oneAble to pass drivers check, background check, and drug screen
