About The Role Supervise staff activities in the Formulations laboratory areas. Mentoring junior staff informulation areas, ensuring training documentation is completed accurately and in a timelymanner, including administering any proficiency testing identified by department management.Ensure staff is available to meet study schedules, ensure accuracy and integrity of formulationdata generated in the department. Serve as a technical liaison in writing and reviewing SOP'sassociated with Formulations (FM) department.What You'll Do HereSupervise (or perform as necessary) dose preparation and dispensing of test and controlarticle materials.Ensure appropriate review of data is completed in a timely manner.Supervise (or perform as necessary) accountability and reconciliation of test and controlarticles and ensure activity is completed in a timely manner.Review and ensure all formulation staff have completed training records before allowingstaff to work independently.Ensure that appropriate staff has been assigned to formulation studies.Check for integrity and accuracy of data generated by Test Article formulation staff.Coordinate and ensure the validation/calibration status of formulation equipment with testarticle equipment representatives.Address audit findings and implement appropriate corrective actions.Ensure the proper storage and handling of test and control material.Maintain the storage of test and control materials in an organized fashion.Assist in budget preparation and work quotes.Attend Protocol review meetings as appropriate.Ensure appropriate repairs to equipment are completed in a timely manner.Train Scientific Services staff in drawing up syringes, as needed.Other duties as assigned.What You'll Need To SucceedBS or BA in a scientific discipline.3-5 years in a FDA regulated environment.Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operatingand maintenance instructions, procedural manuals and Protocols. Abilityto instruct others on day to day activities.Working knowledge of basic math.Basic computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word and databaseprograms.What We OfferThe pay range estimated for this position is $63,000 - $84,000. Please note that salary rates vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, prior relevant experience, skills, education, certification, location as well as internal equity and market data.
