Staff Accountant

About the teamWe are looking for a hard-working individual to join our general ledger accounting team. You will play a key role in the month-end accounting close process.  This role provides a great foundation in corporate general ledger accounting and an introduction to Angi Inc.'s business operations.What you'll doPrepare month-end journal entries and account reconciliations for GL accountsResearch and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularitiesPrepare consolidated reporting schedules included in the company's quarterly reporting packageWork with FP&A and accounting teams to understand variances and provide explanationsMaintain internal controls, and work with both internal and external auditors to ensure audit requests are addressedProvide support on special requests, projects, and ad-hoc analysis as necessaryWho you are0-2 years of accounting experience, including internshipsUndergraduate or Graduate degree in Accounting/Business; CPA or CPA candidate a plusWorking knowledge of US GAAP Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically ExcelExperience with general ledger accounting systems, especially NetSuite a plusOrganized, high attention to detail, ability to communicate effectively with both accounting and business partnersWe value diversityWe know that the best ideas come from teams where diverse points of view uncover new solutions to hard problems.
