IQ Clarity's client in Denver, CO is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Software Engineer to join their development team. As a Principal Software Engineer, you will be a technical leader and play a crucial role in architecting, designing, and delivering complex software solutions. Your expertise in C#, .NET Core, Azure, CosmosDB, Angular, and Microservices will be instrumental in shaping our technical strategy and driving the success of our projects.
Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership and Architecture: Provide technical leadership and guidance in designing scalable, robust, and high-performance software solutions. Architect and design complex systems, making informed decisions on technology stack, frameworks, and patterns. Drive the adoption of best practices, coding standards, and software engineering principles within the team.
Full-Stack Development: Lead the development of software applications using C#, .NET Core, and relevant frameworks. Design and implement Microservices architecture, leveraging Azure services such as CosmosDB, Azure Functions, and Service Bus. Develop front-end components using Angular or other modern JavaScript frameworks.
Cloud Integration and Deployment: Utilize your expertise in Azure to integrate cloud services and ensure optimal utilization of platform capabilities. Design and implement cloud-based solutions, leveraging services like Azure CosmosDB for data storage and retrieval. Develop CI/CD pipelines and automation scripts for efficient and reliable software deployment.
System Design and Scalability: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable software solutions. Analyze system performance, identify bottlenecks, and propose optimizations for improved scalability and efficiency. Ensure software architecture aligns with industry best practices and can support long-term growth.
Mentoring and Collaboration: Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and QA engineers, to ensure successful delivery of software projects. Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to maintain high-quality code standards.
Research and Innovation: Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices. Evaluate new tools, frameworks, and methodologies, and recommend their adoption to improve development processes and efficiency. Lead technical research initiatives to drive innovation and solve complex technical challenges.
Requirements:
Extensive Technical Expertise: Minimum of 8 years of professional software development experience, with a strong focus on C# and .NET Core. Proven experience in designing and implementing scalable software solutions using Microservices architecture, Azure, and CosmosDB. Solid proficiency in Angular or other modern JavaScript frameworks.
Cloud Platform Knowledge: Deep understanding of Azure services and hands-on experience with cloud integration and deployment. Familiarity with Azure CosmosDB or other NoSQL databases. Experience with Azure Functions, Service Bus, and other relevant services.
Full-Stack Development Skills: Strong proficiency in both back-end and front-end development using C#, .NET Core, Angular, and related technologies. Experience with RESTful API design, database design, and ORM frameworks (Entity Framework, etc.).
Microservices Architecture: Proven expertise in designing and implementing Microservices architecture, including service decomposition, inter-service communication, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.). Understanding of related technologies like Service Mesh (Istio) is a plus.
Problem-Solving and Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyze complex problems, propose effective solutions, and make informed technical decisions. Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
Leadership and Collaboration: Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience in mentoring and guiding engineering teams. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred but not required. Relevant industry certifications, such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate, are a plus.
