Position: Sales Manager

We are currently seeking a dynamic Sales Manager to spearhead the development and profitable expansion of key national accounts, including Walmart, Sam's Club, Meijer, and select regional accounts. We're on the lookout for a strategic thinker who can drive top-line sales growth while also optimizing bottom-line results through efficient distribution and trade planning strategies. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated individual with exceptional presentation and communication skills, coupled with a solid background in consumer packaged goods (CPG) sales, particularly within Mass & Club Channels.
This is a remote position, but candidates must be based in Bentonville, AR.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive profitable sales growth by collaborating with merchants to identify new business opportunities, formulate effective strategies, and implement specialized sales and business relations programs within defined promotional trade spend guidelines.
Execute strategic sales, marketing, and business strategies for assigned customers, identifying, forecasting, and closing sales opportunities while actively promoting and introducing new products to the market.
Foster brand advancement through comprehensive sales call processes, promoting product value propositions to build sustainable partnerships and alliances.
Conduct successful sales calls to drive increased business while promptly addressing customer and internal needs.
Develop trade plans aligned with budgetary guidelines for assigned customers, maintaining positive relationships with customers and brokers.
Demonstrate effective relationship management with internal and external stakeholders, communicating call plans, business plans, and proposals to the VP of Sales.
Maintain accurate customer data, including sales activities, pre and post-call plan actions, and new business development opportunities.
Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, operations, finance, and other departments to design, implement, and facilitate sales solutions and overall business strategies.
Cultivate and sustain strategic relationships with industry peers through networking events and trade shows to drive sales.
Represent the company at market trade shows to promote our brand message through collateral, product displays, and information distribution.
Travel as necessary to generate sales and maintain strong business relations.
Assist with other responsibilities and assignments as deemed necessary by management.
Requirements:
To thrive in this role, you'll need:
A minimum of five years of sales experience, preferably in consumer products, with a focus on Walmart & Sam's Club.
Demonstrated experience in scaling a brand with omni-channel retailers.
Proficiency in syndicated data (e.g., SPINS) to create fact-based selling stories.
Proven account management experience with Walmart & Sam's Club.
Financial acumen to drive profitable sales growth, sales planning, promotional analysis, and sales forecasting.
Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), and CRM systems.
Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time within the continental United States.
Proven ability to build relationships with internal and external business partners.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively.
