Scheduled Hours 37.5 Position Summary The Office of Overseas Programs in Arts & Sciences Program Manager contributes to its mission to promote, facilitate, and support undergraduate student engagement in high-quality, international educational experiences and related forms of international experiential learning. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Overseas Programs, the Program Manager is responsible for the execution of major student-facing programs in the Office of Overseas Programs, including (but not limited to) the promotion of internal and external undergraduate study abroad scholarships and application management and disbursement of WU-stewarded scholarship funds, facilitation of faculty-involved international educational experiences, and advising of students on matters related to study abroad. The Program Manager will further play a key role in ensuring equitable and inclusive access to opportunities for undergraduate international education for all students. Job Description Primary Duties & Responsibilities Awards Administration: Manage the process of disbursement of student scholarship awards from start to finish.
Coordinate and execute the process for administration of all WU-funded awards. In collaboration with the Director, manage the award budgets â" maintain record of all gifts, grants, projects and other funding sources for awards along with restrictions and requirements. Collaborate with the Director on criteria and guidelines for award administration. In conjunction with Director, the Assistant Director, and relevant WU stakeholders (including but not limited to Student Financial Services, academic departments, TRiO and Office for Student Success), make award decisions based on available funds. In consultation with the Director and the Assistant Director, identify and streamline processes for improvement (particularly with regard to diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility). Coordinate disbursement of all awards with accounting and finance team. Maintain records of awardees within database for future reporting and tracking needs. Provide promotion, advising, and management of external scholarship opportunities. Program planning and execution for faculty-involved international educational experiences.
Provide programming and administrative support for faculty-involved international educational experiences. Coordinate program applications, activities, and logistics with the Assistant Director, faculty, and vendors. Ensure deadlines and budgets are adhered to. In consultation with the Director and the Assistant Director, identify and streamline processes for improvement and growth (particularly with regard to diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility). Advising and Communications: Consult and communicate with students, faculty, campus partners, departmental administrators, and program partners.
Advise students on study abroad opportunities, help students identify opportunities that align with academic and personal goals, communicate with students about ongoing issues concerning their program or application. Work collaboratively with study abroad program providers and partner institutions abroad to remain current on both student and program-related issues. Collaborate with campus partners and departments on international educational programming needs. Represent Overseas Programs at campus events and promote opportunities and programs. In consultation with the Director and the Assistant Director, identify and streamline processes for improvement and growth (particularly with regard to diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility). Other: Perform other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications Masterâ™s degree. Five years of experience in academic setting, preferably international education. Demonstrated commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility in higher education. Demonstrated experience as a collaborator across a variety of units and project types, in particular with faculty, staff, and administrators on projects that innovate undergraduate education. Experience in program development, implementation, and administration. Experience with Terra Dotta application platform. Knowledge of liberal arts curricula and of concepts, practices, and procedures related to undergraduate education. Superior written and verbal communication abilities and presentation skills. Superior organizational and project management skills. Ability to work collaboratively with students, faculty, and staff; facility with strategies for diversity, inclusion, equity, and accessibility. Ability to work independently and move along institutional initiatives with little supervision. Proven interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal. Audiences should include students, faculty, staff, and stakeholders. Sound judgement and high level of maturity, including ability to handle confidential information responsibly in sensitive situations involving students. Ability to project genuineness and warmth as a service-oriented communicator. Ability to thrive in a position that requires independent judgement and to step in as a reliable team member on various collaborative projects as needed. Ability to anticipate student needs and act to address them. High degree of self-motivation, organization, accuracy, and productivity with an ability to manage time, meet deadlines, and follow-through on projects in a timely manner with varying degrees of pressure. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree with three years of related experience or equivalent education and experience.
Grade G10 Salary Range $48,700.00 - $80,500.00 / Annually
The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
