Coordinate and lead activities of workers in production and warehousing to facilitate a safe, timely and accurate order-fulfillment process, while ensuring all quality/production specifications are met; and work with production staff to develop new creative ideas to improve quality and productivity.
Lead production staff to ensure that production work orders are filled accurately, timely and consistent with work instructions/procedures.
Work on production line as required in liquid and powder areas of facility. Demonstrate ability to operate all plant production equipment.
Coordinate worker training with Production Supervisor or Plant Manager in areas such as Safety Laws and Regulations and use of Safety Equipment.
Facilitate a work environment that supports a Safe and Healthy Culture
Assist the Plant Manager in the development and implementation of efficient and effective daily production planning/scheduling. Communicate production schedules to production staff in a timely and effective manner.
Comply with company quality objectives. Train production workers on quality assurance procedures and policy as needed.
Provide machine operation and process training to employees. Evaluate production personnel to match abilities, skills and knowledge to the optimal plant assignment.
Monitor and work with Plant Manager or Plant supervisor to take corrective action on issues relating to work performance.
Conduct physical inventories/cycle counts as required to ensure accuracy of perpetual inventory. Interface with office staff on production/work order completions. Ensure proper quantities and counts.
Drive forklift to transport manufactured items from production areas to warehouse as well as load and unload trucks in shipping area as needed.
Perform all Batch Room Processes: Dryer, Mixer, Small Bagger, Big Bagger,
Must have a High School Diploma or GED Diploma.
At least five years manufacturing and/or packaging experience.
Must have three years supervisory experience or experience working in a lead capacity.
Ability to drive forklift, palletize, fill cases, label containers, batch powders, and liquids.
Work up to 8+ hour shifts as required.
Lift and/or carry up to 100 pounds occasionally.
